The essential role of the Witnessing sandplay therapist is the holding of and attuning to the multidimensional space in which patient and therapist interact. As the sandplay process evolves, the sandplay therapist psychically follows her patient moving back and forth throughout these different dimensions. Three of these dimensions: the Sacred-Archetypal space; the Infant-Mother space; and the Transference-Countertransference space will be discussed in this workshop using images and case material of both children and adults.
