It is my pleasure to inform you that Ms. Lenore Steinhardt will be coming to Hong Kong from Tel Aviv, Israel in March to provide Sandplay Therapy Training. Lenore will offer a two-day workshop on “Sand and Water: Connection to the Body and Inner Movement“.
Lenore is a very experienced therapist and communicates well in her teaching. She has written two books on Sandplay Therapy: “Foundation and Form in Jungian Sandplay – An Art Therapy Approach”, and “On Becoming a Jungian Sandplay Therapist – The Healing Spirit of Sandplay in Nature and in Therapy”.
Internationally, Lenore is highly recommended by mental health professionals in training. In 2012, six therapists from Hong Kong had the opportunity to attend her lectures during the ISST Intensive training week (ITW) in Krakow, Poland. I was among the participants and I found her teaching very impressive. She was able to make abstract concepts easy to understand and through her teaching I was brought back to the very basic of Sandplay where I could start my new journey in self-understanding. She has an extraordinary sense to the sand tray configuration and she also amazed me in her supervision group. She was very clear in communicating her thoughts and helped us to understand the client’s inner process presenting on the trays in a simple way. It was a very fruitful learning experience to me.
George Kwok Kar Kin is also one of the participants in Krakow and he is a former exco member of HKSTA. After attending her lectures, George said “Lenore had helped me to gain a new insight on the structure of Sandplay Therapy, the set-up, the room and especially the use of sand. Lenore was very systematic in delivering the sandplay process between the therapist, the client, the sand and the miniatures to us, particularly the symbolic meanings of each.” You may be able to find out more by attending Lenore’s training in March.
