April 2017 Study Group

We will have our April Study Group in April 27 and we are going to study the book “On Jung” by Anthony Stevens. We all know that most of C.G. Jung’s psychological principles grow out of his own experience during the years after his break with Freud. For this reason both Jung and his psychology deserve equal attention.

In his book “On Jung”, Anthony Stevens “seeks to outline the basic principles of Jungian psychological in the context of the life which gave rise of them. It is hoped that this will provide the reader with a richer experience of the meaning and quality of Jungian psychology than an account which sought to separate – artificially, in my view- the psychological principle from the personal history of its creator.” (p.5)

Presenter: Brenda Koo
Date: April 27, 2017 (Thursday)
Time: 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Venue : Room 317, Western District Community Centre, 36A Third Street, Hong Kong.

Basic Jungian Concepts and their Applications in Sandplay Therapy

by George Kwok — April to May, 2017

We have heard many workshop participants commented that Jungian concepts are too hard to comprehend. In light of this, HKSTA has invited Mr. George Kwok Kar Kin, one of the certified sandplay therapists in Hong Kong to offer a training on “Basic Jungian concepts and their applications in sandplay therapy” in April and May 2017. In this course, George would talk about the basic concepts of Jungian psychotherapy through different cases with illustrations in the sandplay process. The participants would learn how to facilitate the sandplay process with their clients under Jungian framework, and acquire more insights on their clients through the lens of Jungian psychotherapy.
