It is hard to believe that we will have the third study group on the symbol “Closet/Wardrobe”. We still did not have enough time for presentation and discussion in our October study group when we had the PART II of the study. We will continue to take a look at how the symbol of “Closet/Wardrobe” appears in the sandplay process and how it carries significance for the process. If you have missed Part I and Part II of the Study Group, you are still welcome to join Part III.
Title: Closet/Wardrobe (Part III)
Date & Time: December 18, 2017 (Monday) from 10am-12pm

Closet/wardrobe is not only a repository for valuables but also useless stuffs. It is a metaphor for the space of mind. Symbolically it holds one’s memories/secrets, and also buries things from one’s life. It is commonly used as a symbol of a negative stifling attachment to privacy, especially since the late 1960s, it is a marker of shameful secrets about one’s sexuality. How the closet/wardrobe symbolizes in sand trays? We are going to explore this symbol and will have sandplay case presentation to illustrate it.
The study group is opened to members of Hong Kong Sandplay Therapy Association. Reply to this email if you plan to join this group on or before December 16, 2017.
