
We are glad to announce that Dr. Amy Leung Wai Yin will offer a series of six Zoom sessions of Sandplay Therapy workshop from Nov. to Dec. 2020 which will fulfill 15 hours of theoretical training required by the International Society of Sandplay Therapy (ISST).
The workshop is about the imaginative aspects of Sandplay Therapy. Imagination is seen as having a real effect on the psyche, and even on physical reality. Since imagination can be responsible for the onset of disease, it also has an important role in healing. These six sessions of online Sandplay Therapy workshop will look at how imagination works in sandplay therapy and the role of the sandplay therapists. Some of the participants will present their clinical materials of sandplay therapy for us to examine and discuss the role of imagination in the sandplay process.

Dr. Leung is the Chair of HKSTA and she has offered many sandplay therapy training workshop in the past. She works as a clinical psychologist in private practice and regularly teaches sandplay therapy and dreams locally and internationally. As a clinician, she is specialized in psychological assessment, individual and family therapy. She worked as a clinical psychologist at the Adolescent Medical Center of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and was an Honorary Assistant Professor at the Department of Community Medicine, the University of Hong Kong. She has been a clinical supervisor of many NGO counseling agencies for over two decades. She is a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS). Moreover, she was the founding chair of the Hong Kong Sandplay Therapy Association (HKSTA) and currently she is the Vice President (Asia) of ISST.
