We are glad to announce that Dr. Amy Leung will offer six online classes in Sandplay Therapy from June to July 2021 which will fulfill 15 hours of theoretical training required by the International Society of Sandplay Therapy (ISST).
The workshop is on Individuation in Sandplay Therapy. Individuation is a core concept of analytical psychology and it is the central process of human development. When symbols appear in sandplay therapy, they follow some patterns over a period of time. Certain contents emerge, disappear, and then turn up again. Therapists can observe a hidden regulating or directing tendency at work, creating a slow process of psychic growth – the process of individuation. Gradually a wider and more mature personality emerges. In these six sessions of online sandplay therapy workshop, Dr. Amy Leung will lead us looking into the process of individuation in sandplay therapy. Some of the participants will present their sandplay clinical material to demonstrate the process. This course required participants to have a background in sandplay and have attended other HKSTA or ISST sandplay therapy training before.
