After having the wonderful workshop delivered by Ms. Lenore F. Steinhard in May, 2022, HKSTA is pleased to invite another excellent teaching member of SGSST and ISST, Ms. Maria Kendler from Switzerland to offer an online Sandplay Therapy Training workshop in coming July 2022.  In 2019, Maria came to Hong Kong to provide sandplay therapy training workshop and it was well received.

This six hours workshop will fulfill 6 hours of theoretical training required by the International Society of Sandplay Therapy (ISST), information is shown as below:

In this 2-session of online workshop, we will explore psychological consequences of migration which can be seen as a particular form of traumatic experience. Different stages of this traumatic process are discussed as well as specific

aspects of its therapeutic intervention. We will see how Sandplay therapy can support the therapeutic process by its non verbal and sensorial form of expression. 

Maria Kendler is a clinical psychologist. Presently she is working in a private practice near Lausanne in the French part of Switzerland. She has been working in a Centre for Psychotherapy and Psychiatrie in Lausanne and in an International School in the Swiss Mountains as a school psychologist. For many years she practices Sandplay Therapy with children, adolescents and adults. She is the President of the Swiss Society for Sandplay Therapy (SGSST) and served at the Board of ISST. As a teaching member of SGSST and ISST she gives Sandplay Training in Switzerland and abroad.
